Qubani ka Meetha

 Qubani-ka-meeta
Khubani ka Meetha, or a sweet dish made from dried apricots, is a popular Hyderabadi dessert that is particularly served at weddings and other traditional functions. Khubani ka Meetha is prepared by boiling apricots with chaashni (sugar syrup) until it blends into a thick soup-like consistency. It is then garnished with a dollop of fresh cream and served with a generous sprinkling of apricot kernels and blanched almonds on top.

Pesarattu

The name literally gives away what’s on the plate – it is a combination of the words attu and pesara, which means dosa or crepe and moong dal, in Telugu. Deviating from the use of urad dal that is traditionally used in dosa batter, Pesarattu is made from spilt or whole green moong lentils. This crisp and nutritious dosa is an extremely popular breakfast recipe in all of Andhra Pradesh and is usually served with tangy ginger chutney.

Andhra Fish Curry

Many of us like fish gravy,  I love fish cooked in the tamarind juice. I have been trying out many recipes and this one turned to be one among those i liked. I normally add the fish in Kuzhambu before adding tamarind juice coz i like the fish to be cooked well in tamarind. But the fish will break into small pieces, so if you are so concerned add the fish at the end as suggested in the recipes. Fish curry tastes better the next day, try it out. Have Fun !!
